Vulnerability
The Power To Comfort Others
John RothAugust 7, 202244:06
2 Corinthians 1: 3 - 11Being vulnerable opens us to God's presence rather than personal protection. God comes alongside in suffering to fortify and encourage, and suffering ties us to Christ so we receive and can give authentic comfort. Comfort is company, community, and purpose, not ease or escape, and listening and presence matter more than fixes. Shared suffering produces empathy, resilience, and compassion, and those who are comforted by God are empowered to comfort others through prayer, honest presence, and sacrificial service.
