Trials reveal what we truly trust and shape our character, so listen quickly, speak slowly, and restrain anger because human rage does not produce God's righteousness. Put away moral filth and persistent sin and receive the meek, implanted word that saves souls. Faith is shown by obedience, not by religious show or dishonest speech, and hollow religiosity deceives the heart. When temptations press, seek Jesus first, resting in his grace and identity as a child of God, and let that grace drive repentance, compassion, and faithful action toward others.
