The Encounter
John RothApril 12, 202032:51
John 20: 11 - 18Empty tomb evidence invites investigation and supports a rational case for Jesus’ resurrection, calling us to examine historical testimony rather than accept wishful thinking. Resurrection reveals God’s mercy by reaching the broken, elevating unlikely witnesses like Mary Magdalene and offering grace apart from merit. It is profoundly personal as the risen Lord calls people by name, invites relationship, and promises a future embodied life within a renewed creation. Belief rests on reasoned inquiry plus merciful encounter, and the risen Christ sends the Spirit so that intimacy with him defines our identity, hope, and destiny in a restored world.
