Matthew 7: 1 - 5

Hypocrisy blinds us to our own faults, so first remove the beam in your own eye before addressing another's speck. Do not be judgmental by elevating yourself, but do make righteous judgments that come from love, sorrow, and a desire to invite others into Christ's grace. Righteous judgment rests on humility, God-given discernment, and respect for appropriate boundaries, especially within the church community. Speak hard words as curbs that protect people and preserve witness, not as weapons to condemn, and let the gift of Christ’s righteousness shape how we correct, restore, and welcome others into life.
