The Healing Of Anger
John RothApril 30, 202333:41
Proverbs 14 - 25Being slow to anger demonstrates wisdom and preserves relationships and health. Anger damages body and judgment when it rages unchecked, but it also reveals what we truly love and can be channeled for redemptive action when rightly ordered. Admit and name your anger, reflect on the story you tell about an offense, and put passions under steady rule so they aim at healing rather than vengeance. God absorbs and redirects human wrath toward sin, calls people to love enemies, and promises final justice, enabling stubborn nonviolence, reconciliation, and the patient work of restoring community.
