Jesus I Have My Doubts
Depression
John RothFebruary 13, 202236:58
Psalm 88: 1 - 18Believers sometimes endure long seasons of darkness and feel God absent, yet such seasons do not disprove faith. Darkness becomes a classroom where God’s unearned grace meets our anger, questions, and despair, and where faith is weaned from false expectations of comfort and performance. Sincere lament is welcomed, not rejected, and honest cries join the prayer of Christ who himself endured abandonment. Community is meant to carry sorrow so no one faces these trials alone, and the apparent finality of depression is overturned by the resurrection hope that God works even through the deepest night.
