Habakkuk 2: 5 - 20

Pride and relentless hunger for glory lie at the root of cruelty and injustice, leaving nations and individuals empty and self-serving. Evil cuts through every human heart, so blaming others only multiplies harm while humility and repentance begin true change. God remains sovereign amid disorder and uses even our broken choices to accomplish his purposes. Christ bears our shame on the cross and restores our standing, promising that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of his glory. Christians therefore live by faith, refuse to exploit others for status, and serve the world with humble, sacrificial love as a foretaste of that coming restoration.
