Believe In The Lord
John RothMay 23, 202137:26
Acts 16Faith meets people in different places: the religious, the oppressed, and the indifferent. The gospel comes from the outside in as a gift that opens hearts rather than a reward for self-improvement. It frees the oppressed by confronting powers and changing systems, it shocks and awakens the indifferent through unexpected grace, and it shows the religious a substitute who fulfills the law on their behalf. Christians embody costly solidarity by refusing safety when justice and mercy are needed. Jesus pursues every person without type, race, or status, and the church must proclaim and live that universal rescue.
