Isaiah 9: 1 - 7

Jesus enters real history in a specific, messy time and place, choosing poverty and human limits rather than royal splendor, and he becomes fully human by sharing hunger, pain, temptation, and loss. He intentionally reaches out to the marginalized and morally despised, embracing sinners instead of condemning them, and his nearness turns fear into good news. His coming means suffering is met with presence, judgment is borne for our sake, and redemption begins in the midst of the ugliest realities of life.
