Dead and Alive

Romans 6: 1 - 14

Spiritual slavery grips every life until its power is broken, and genuine change comes not from willpower but from being united with Christ in his death and resurrection. Baptism visibly declares a transferred status so that justification precedes and empowers gradual inward renewal. Believers reckon themselves dead to sin and alive to God, count what God has already done, and live from the identity Christ supplies rather than shopping for worth in fears, comforts, achievements, or approval. The gospel, not self-effort, enables faithful transformation.
