Romans 2: 12 - 16Human hearts break under the law because outward obedience never reaches inner motives, and judging others only exposes our own failure. Everyone plays law enforcer while conscience still accuses or excuses those without formal rules, so no one stands righteous by mere outward practice. True membership in God’s people rests inwardly by the Spirit, not by external rites, and Christ bears the curse of the covenant so sinners are welcomed and justified by grace through faith. Followers of Jesus offer good news and mercy rather than moral coercion, living by the Spirit to mend broken relationships and a fractured world.
