Jeremiah 29

Living as strangers in a broken world calls for engagement, not retreat or mimicry, because God calls his people to plant, prosper, and seek the welfare of the place where they are so they might be a healing, alternative city. Christians hold dual citizenship in earthly systems and in God’s kingdom, and the church shines by serving others rather than using people for gain. Jesus models faithful exile by giving up home and honor to redeem and restore, showing that even when everything seems lost God provides hope and a future and calls his people to embody that restoration now.
