The Genius of Jesus
Passing the Test

Matthew 4: 1 - 11Temptation exposes the heart’s true loyalties, showing whether we chase appetites, ambitions, or power or live as children of a faithful Father. Jesus faces hunger, flattery, and offers of control and refuses to use divine power for self, trusting the Father’s provision and voice instead. He succeeds where humanity fails, provides a way of escape, and sympathizes with our weakness because he is tempted in every respect yet without sin. Relationship with God matters more than proving worth, satisfying cravings, or seizing dominance, and through Christ we are adopted, defended, and empowered to live by the Father’s word.
