Upside Down Kingdom

The Triumphant Entry

John RothApril 5, 202033:19

Mark 11: 1 - 11

A king arrives not to conquer by force but to serve and sacrifice, entering gently as a humble donkey‑rider rather than a warlord. The Messiah combines divine majesty with vulnerable mercy and becomes the substitute lamb who dies to bring resurrection and new life. God’s kingdom reverses worldly expectations by opening worship to the nations instead of excluding them, and it calls people to come empty‑handed, acknowledging their need rather than claiming merit. True entrance into this upside‑down kingdom comes through humility, dependence, and surrender, not political power, religious prestige, or personal righteousness.
