Upside Down Kingdom

The Rich and the Kingdom of God

John RothMarch 15, 202038:53

Mark 10: 17 - 31

When wealth claims your identity, the kingdom slips away and riches become a rival savior instead of a tool for service. True goodness is trusting God, not accumulating merit by rules or possessions, and salvation is a divine gift that human effort cannot earn. Following Jesus often calls for radical generosity, solidarity with the poor, and relinquishing idols that occupy first place. The upside-down kingdom prizes giving over gaining, pouring out power instead of grasping it, and promises treasure in heaven to those who trust and follow, for what is impossible with people becomes possible through God.
