God With Us
In the Stillness of Night
John RothDecember 24, 201932:32
Luke 2: 1 - 20When the Word becomes flesh, God enters human suffering and knows every wound, giving infinite comfort because nothing we face is new to him. God’s incarnation models self-giving service, calling followers to vulnerable love that costs and transforms communities. Because Jesus fully bridges divine presence and human life, access to God comes by relationship rather than rule-keeping, grounding a realistic, lasting hope that rests on Christ’s work rather than human worthiness. This truth shapes how we suffer, compels us to serve, and secures hope that does not depend on our performance.
