God With Us
In the Storm
John RothDecember 15, 201934:51
Acts 27: 20 - 25When storms rage, never doubt God's presence, for God comes alongside us in suffering and sustains us through it. Presence with us means suffering is not pointless but can refine endurance, character, and hope while still leaving room for human responsibility to act faithfully. Jesus shows that God is both sovereign over outcomes and personally present in pain, so believers find peace not by avoiding trials but by resting in God who suffers with us, preserves us, and uses hardship to prepare us for an eternal weight of glory.
