The Company You Keep

Luke 15: 1 - 7

Comparison breeds resentment when life is measured as wages instead of gifts, and peace comes from receiving grace rather than bargaining for fairness. God initiates rescue by personally seeking the hurting, offering generous, costly grace that cannot be earned. The kingdom operates on unbalanced generosity where last ones receive the same welcome as first ones. True faith looks like childlike humility that accepts mercy, not a demand for deserved reward. When we stop defining worth by work or status, we become unoffendable, rejoice when others are welcomed, and reflect the compassionate heart that values people above merit.
