Hope For a Hopeless World
Future Glory
John RothAugust 4, 201940:28
Romans 8: 18 - 25Hardship is real and often unjust, yet it does not have the final word. Creation groans under futility while longing for the revealing of God’s children, and Christians live in the tension of present suffering and future glory. Believers are adopted into a Father’s care rather than left to a transactional boss, and Christ personally enters our pain to comfort, identify with, and redeem us. The Spirit helps us in weakness and groans with prayers too deep for words. Hope rests on gospel logic that the coming glory overwhelmingly outweighs present affliction, so patience and perseverance endure with faithful confidence in God’s ultimate restoration.
