I Want to Believe But

Heartless God

Psalm 103: 8 - 14

Suffering refines faith more than comfort ever can, because God promises purpose rather than an easy life. God is present with us in pain and bears the cost of our wounds, showing mercy and compassion like a loving parent. The gospel frames suffering within a larger story where God’s own wounds bring redemption and hope, and painful trials can purify and strengthen faith. Human community cares for the grieving and sustains those who struggle, and looking to God’s ultimate purpose helps make sense of trials without trivializing their hurt.
