Rest

Rest

Christ the Center

Matthew 11: 25 - 30

Deep inner rest comes when Jesus becomes the unshakable center of life rather than career, achievement, or self. He invites the weary to take his yoke, not a burdensome law, because his yoke is gentle and his burden is light. No one can be fully free while yoked to performance, approval, or endless striving. Childlike humility and trust open the way to receive his rest, and practicing Sabbath means letting God hold you long enough to remember who you are and whose you are. True rest is found in surrender to Christ, who carries our sorrows and grants lasting peace for the soul.
