Luke 11: 1 - 4

Prayer begins with admitting our inability to control or fix everything and asking to be taught to pray. Father is personal and accessible, and God willingly listens like a loving parent. Prayer brings eternity into ordinary moments and invites God into daily needs as well as lofty longings. Prayer changes us first by opening our hands and hearts so we can receive and give, and it can change circumstances as we become usable to God. Planning regular, honest prayer prepares us to embrace the disruptions of love and to follow Jesus as the way, truth, and life.
