How Your Decisions Affect Others

John RothMay 6, 201839:34

Romans 14: 13 - 15: 2

Freedom includes responsibility, so exercising liberty in gray areas requires conviction, care, and a willingness to limit personal preference for the good of others. Conscience guides choices, but true strength shows itself in bearing the weaknesses of others and choosing actions that build people up. The gospel declares acceptance when we are unacceptable, so welcome and embrace others rather than merely tolerate them, and let love shape how you use freedom. Community is the context God designed for flourishing, so make decisions that preserve peace, mutual edification, and the unity of the body rather than advancing your own individual comfort.
