My Big Fat Mouth
Gossip

James 4: 11 - 12Speech reveals the heart and carries power to build or to wound, so words that objectify or spread rumors harm the person spoken about, poison listeners, and ruin the speaker's trustworthiness. Not every true fact needs to be said, and loving duty calls us to defend neighbors, put the best construction on others, and close our mouths when speech is not constructive. Guard your ears by asking why someone tells you something, refuse to fuel triangles of gossip, and walk away from destructive talk. The gospel reshapes speech because Christ advocates for us, crowns our weakness with his strength, and invites us into koinonia where words are truthful, gracious, and restorative.
