Mission
When anger seeks vengeance it perpetuates violence and moral religion can become as violent as brutal ideologies when it prioritizes rules over mercy. Pluralistic power struggles and self-righteous moralism both fuel cycles of harm, while true courage chooses forgiveness instead of retaliation or escape. Forgiveness requires dealing with our own bitterness first so we can pursue justice with love and seek the good of others. Our identity as forgiven people empowers us to love enemies, hold truth in compassion, and resist violence by overcoming evil with good, following the example of Christ who meets hatred with compassionate, nonviolent love.
